Abby Marino is a sustainable business strategist and researcher specializing in economic analysis and process automation.

She is currently a research professional at Université Laval’s Center for Research in Accounting and Sustainable Development (CeRCeDD), where she also pursues a master’s degree in accounting. Her work focuses on bridging circular economy strategies with financial performance and operational efficiency. Between 2019 and 2022, she founded and ran Détour, an online boutique dedicated to secondhand fashion. In 2022, she led a Mitacs-supported research project analyzing the profitability of automating inventory management for circular retail models. Her passion for innovation, combined with a sharp research mindset, led her to co-found Collective Détour, a consulting agency accelerating sustainable transformation in the textile and apparel industry.
